MightyHat is a RaspberryPi Hat add-on board featuring:
- ATMega328P based microcontroller allows power management (shutdown/reboot) from the push of a button
- Can easily be used to turn your Pi into an IoT Gateway for sub-ghz networks powered by compatible transceivers (all RFM69 and LoRa)
- This board is footprint compatible with RFM69W/HW and RFM95/96 transceivers
- optional LCD for status and messaging
- 2 general purpose user buttons
- LithiumPolymer backup UPS (uninterruptible power supply) functionality for the Pi
- Battery is kept charged while USB power is present
Kit includes the following components:
- MightyHat main board (no headers soldered)
- Pi mating long headers (2x20) - these allow your Pi's GPIO to be reused ontop of the MightyHat or can be trimmed off if desired
- Power control red/green tactile button - this can produce red/green and orange (combine R+G)
- Reset tactile button (resets Atmega328p)
- Slide switch (introduced in R2).
- Two long actuator tactile buttons (introduced in R2)
-
mounting hardware kit (mounts the PiHat ontop your Pi through 4 main mounting holes):
- 4*17mm standoffs
- 8*M2.5 screws
- 1x6 right angled FTDI header - allows programming the Hat when your Pi is turned off
Optional add-ons:
- Nokia 5110 84x48 monochrome LCD
- Male or female right angle extension header that brings out all the Pi GPIO to a convenient side access position
- 2.1mm power jack (power your Pi through this jack instead of uUSB)
-
SMA connector (datasheet) you can solder on the side of the PCB (you will need to ensure your antenna has a mating male SMA connector):
- Piezo buzzer
- Your choice of RFM69 or LoRa transceiver (will be soldered and tested with the board when you include it). The transceiver option also comes with a basic monopole wire antenna.
- Laser cut acrylic case (on special request only)
Not included:
- RaspberryPi
- Lithium Polymer Battery (only required if you need backup power)
