Moteino pcb trace antenna

Hello all,
I am back again after several years absent of    this forum where I learned a lot and first shared my experiences with LoRa and moteinos.
This time I am working in LoRa project where one of the Lora node basically will be located at  someone pocket or purse. 
I read that the trace antenna is ideal for such project ,  desired range  0.5-0.8 miles but. I just making test comparing pcb trace vs coil antenna.
I would like to know how the capacitor and resistor the pcb trace antenna termination was choose ?  I found some documents  on the web and resistor  value indicated is 2k .

Not bad for such a small antenna!
The parts are part of impedance matching.
