Title: Mismatch Between Preamble Bytes Works Fine?!

In the process of testing smaller and smaller frames I've noticed that the following settings actually work which I was not at all expecting:

                 Preamble bytes | Sync bytes
Node:                  0            |         2
Gateway:             3            |         2

Does this oddity make sense to anyone else?
