The wire antenna is great and all but once the antenna is shaped differently other than straight, I get significant RSSI loss the farther I go compared to its straight antenna counterpart. Is there an optimal configuration for bending a wire antenna to fit in a case or some type of chip / helical antenna that is recommended to save space?
Thanks!

.. obviously knowing that the smaller the antenna the "quieter" it is, but worth a try. I tried these splatches (though not extensively) and they seem to work pretty well.
They have also been discussed in the forum before so that's also worth a search to see what others said.
