just posting in case someone is interested in reverse engineering a $36 weather station, but long story short I purchased last year the same sensor system for $80 (wind speed/dir and rain) and used moteino with a BME280 for temp, pressure et humidity but the following listing has it all with a horrible screen but for $36!

it seems it's using a 433mhz radio to communicate w the home station - I'll post some photos of the board if folks are interested (and not sure why shipping is $100, shipping was free last month!)
