TX ERROR using REQUESTS [solved]

I am going to use the Solar PS sketch to monitor my weather station. For now I am setting everything up on a breadboard to make sure I have everything correct.

I get the status and voltage FROM the moteino, but when I try to send the POWER:ON command (through the REQUEST button in the Node window), the log shows the following

14:13:53.396 : /dev/ttyUSB0>:[0] 11:POWER:ON:INV:ID-OUT-OF-RANGE
14:13:53.310 : /dev/ttyUSB0>:DEBUG:handleSerialData:REQUESTQUEUE:11:POWER:ON
14:13:53.282 : NODE [11] Request Added: POWER

It would also populate a new node with the ID of 0 (zero).

Any ideas why it's trying to send to Node 0 instead of 11?

Thanks

Felix

Assuming you're using the RFGateway sketch - this is a message from the RFGateway reporting that address 0 is invalid - it is the broadcast address and should not be used at all.

I got the app via this:

sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LowPowerLab/RaspberryPi-Gateway/master/.setup/gatewaysetup.sh

Web interface shows V 9.1.0.

I did a clean install on a Pi4, and am using a Moteino USB. I put the solarps.js (https://github.com/knight-of-ni/RaspberryPi-Gateway/blob/solarps/metrics/solarps.js) into the metrics folder, have Solar Power Supply selected as the node type. Restarted the gateway several different times, but with the command and through the app.

I GET info on node 11, but I don't know why it is trying to SEND to Node 0.

What other information can I provide to help solve this issue?

Thanks!!!

Felix

Did you assign ID=0 to the MoteinoUSB attached to your Pi?

Felix

Did you install PiGateway from the last stable release or from the HEAD?
I would suggest using the HEAD since there was one change that affects the REQUESTQUEUE renaming to RQ. Perhaps that's the reason why you're seeing this.

My USB is at ttyUSB0, and I installed via the command above. How would I install the HEAD version?

Felix

Ok. What ID did you set your MoteinoUSB? What sketch is loaded onto it?
You can install the HEAD by choosing the appropriate option during install - the setup asks you at one of the prompts.

So I ran the setup again, this time selected HEAD. It is working correctly now.

Thanks for the help!

Felix

Thanks for the update, good to know.
I will try to make a new release soon to include these fixes.
