Send SMS with snapshot from IP Camera?

Is it possible to set up an alert to send SMS with a snapshot from IP Camera similar to "Motion: Email+IPCam Snapshot" that works great? I've tried creating a similar SMS event in metrics.js, but the received SMS doesn't include the attachment.

Your endpoint for the SMS is still an email address. So if that doesn't accept attachments then you're not in luck, or maybe the attachment requires a special format.
IMO I'd think with smartphones email is better than SMS which is pretty unreliable, at least in my experience.

I can receive attachments to regular SMS messages on my iPhone from other people.  (Actually they are probably MMS messages with attachments. ) I tried sending an email with an attachment from gmail to my [email protected]. The message arrived with a note "attachment has been removed."  So, Verizon must be stripping the attachment when you send an SMS this way. I'll just use email with attachments as you suggest.

A workaround might be to upload the attachment to a web location then include the link in the SMS. But email is so much easier and it works when SMS service acts up.
