Hello all,

I always wanted to use virtual machine to run gateway, but never had hardware or time to look into this.
Since there was huge sortage of PIs in the world not long ago, this would be perfect for anyone, that couldn't get PI (or for normal price)

Now time has come. I have sussecfully created gateway that runs in VM and works like it would on RaspberryPi.
Original script from felix was starting point. I have removed parts of it and changed some others to get everything to work.

One drawback is that since Node.js is not supported for i386 systems, it means that Node.js and Npm are not on the latest release.

you can find script on my Github:
https://github.com/LukaGitH/Gateway/

cd /home/pi
sudo wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LukaGitH/Gateway/main/gateway_i386.sh
sudo bash gateway_i386.sh && sudo rm gateway_i386.sh

I now run for test both systems (RaspberryPi and VM) in parallel, both get same data, use same databases (db was copied to VM) so history is the same
and new datapoints are added by each system independently.

Like original, everything is free to use & modify
