Ok...Whats next?

     I have followed Johns DIY Playground with his 4 videos and have a functioning Moteino/Raspberry pi zero w Gateway. Thank you John. Now I want to add a few more nodes. How do I create the new mote definitions in metrics.js? Is there a special sketch for this or do I have to learn Java Script?  Thank you.

Knowing some basic Javascript will help in at least knowing how to handle syntax, and how to properly copy paste.
The many given examples in metrics.js can serve as a template to build other things.
The forums has other examples and customizations. You can also ask in here and I can try to help with some guidance.
