Just got a Raspberry Pi Zero. Will the gateway work?

I'm really excited to see how Moteino will work with Pi Zero. Just thought this *could be a fun conversation if anyone else is interested.

For sure i'd be curious if PiZero can be paired with a Moteino to run the gateway app. I'm pretty confident it should.
But other than that I prefer a full size Pi. It seems everyone is busy adding USB, ethernet and VGA/video to a Pi zero, apparently saving $30 is worth much more than their time invested and parts for such an upgrade. Most of the PiZero projects I've seen involve adding some kind of USB/hub and ethernet to it.
BUT ... there is hope. All you need for the gateway is a regular Moteino that needs 4 connections (or 5 if you want to reprogram the moteino from the Pi) and you're good to go.

Necro b/c of Pi Zero W

I'm necro'ing this thread now that RPi Zero W's exist and one is traveling my way from England.  I know almost nothing about Rpi so it will be a decent learning curve I imagine.

Well let me know how it goes. Others have the gateway running on Pi zero without issues :)

then it should be about the same with W version, since it's the same step from PI2 to PI3

Anyone notice more signal loss with using the Pi Zero vs a Pi 2 or 3?  Am trying to get a couple 433 MHz moteinos to talk through a couple exterior walls from one building to another.  Initial tests reveal that I get less signal loss using the Pi 2, but I haven't tested much yet between the two.  I was also looking to fit a moteino inside the case that came with the pi zero, Moteino over top of the pi with a thin layer of foam in between the two.  After doing that I can't get the two to communicate at all.  Perhaps the pi zero is interfering with the signal when they are on top of each other and too close?
