Title: RFM69 Failure
Post by: donaldhwong on June 30, 2015, 12:54:00 PM
I have hooked up one additional RFM69 to a Moteino MEGA.  They both worked fine through two interrupts.

After cleaning up some solder joints on the second RFM69, they both failed to initialize. WOW.  Can not figure out what went wrong or how to debug failure in the initialization stages. I check the wiring, there was no cross over, including the 5V and 3.3v supply.

Anyone has any ideas?

Much obliged.

Can you measure any voltage arriving at the V+ pins of both devices? Can you separate them again and try to power up the Moteino on it self?

Thank you, LuiSR320,

According to your suggestion, I found out the second RFM69 modules was somehow burned through and load down the RFM69 on the MEGA.

Now you have saved my MEGA.

Thank you very much.
