Title: Wireless programming trouble
Post by: TrendSetter on January 27, 2015, 01:09:20 PM
I am using the rf12b compatibility libraries from here: https://github.com/aanon4
I am able to wirelessly program from rf12 to rf12 successfully but when i use a rf69 remote node, it will all appear to work correctly, but not actually update the code.  it cycles through all the data in the console just like it should and has the complete handshake and success message at the end but the sketch does not update.
I can successfully send normal packets between rf12 and rf69 moteinos both directions.  I initially tried programming from a rf12 gateway to a rf69 node and it does the same thing where it all appears correct but does not actually update.  I then switched to rf69s on both sides and it does exactly the same thing.
I am basically sending the same sketch thats already on the moteino but i changed a DEBUG message in the setup routine to verify the new code and it does not ever update.  I am sure that the hex file is correct, i even put a completely different debug message in the sketch and uploaded it to the board after copying the hex file to the upload directory.
I was able to go back to all rf12 hardware and successfully upload using the same command and firmware that was failing with the rf69 stuff.

any ideas?

Sounds like you are mixing RFM12b with RFM69?
If so, that's not something I included in the libraries or any examples so I'm afraid I cannot support or endorse that.
You're still welcome to WP from 12B to 12B, but I recommend all new designs to use the latest transceivers (RFM69 at the moment).
