I want data to be sent to my computer remotely through moteinos. I can upload the gateway and node sketches (written by Felix Rusu) to the moteinos and see that they are communicating, using Arduino IDE.
And I have a separate set up that sends flow rate measurements to the computer through USB. How do I combine these?
I can't find any info online for people who don't understand programming that well.

Please explain a bit more what is your plan.
As I understand from your post, you already receive some data from a rate measuring system, transmitted via USB to some kind of software running in your computer.
And now you want some other data to be sent via a Moteino node to a Moteino Gateway, that is also connected to your computer trough USB.
And then you want to display both data on some new software that you want help to program.
Is this correct?
