I came accross moteino and its weather shield few days ago, and i noticed that blog posts says "The previous SMD footprint for the Si7021 sensor (used in R1) is left unpopulated and could in fact be used of desired."
Does this mean that LDR Photoresistor could be added to the weather shield?
I'll put moteino+weather shield+light sensor in each room and it will be battery powered solution, i preffer AA or AAA batteries, would it require power shield or not? I would like to keep costs down as much as possible and if O can avoid buyin 14$ shield then its a no brainer.
Not sure what a LDR has in common with Si7021?
But anyway, WeatherShield (R1 and R2) has a prototype area where you can easily connect your LDR then connect to the header pins you want. You can power the LDR from a digital pin and only activate it when you need a reading, to save power.
Power from 3xAA/AAA or LiPo (keep above 3.6V).
