Title: Using moteino with transceiver and VS1053B audio (SPI)
Post by: lcsbngg on March 28, 2015, 01:39:26 PM
Hello,

I want to use moteino with the VS1053B audio shield.

Can you help me ? The transceveir work with spi (MOSI MISO SCK) but what is the pin SS (slave select) ?

Why on your schema "transceiver use D2, D10-D13" there is D2 and D10 ?

thanks for the help.

Look at the schematic. The radio uses D10-13 for SPI. The radio SS is D10 so you will need to choose another unused pin for your SS. D2 is the radio interrupt pin.
Look at this diagram for the Moteino options and used pins (http://lowpowerlab.com/moteino/#pinout). If you don't need the radio or FLASH MEM then all pins (except D9 - onboard LED) are free to use.

Ok thanks for the answer :)

Why i can't use D9 ? even if there is a onboard LED I can use D9 and the led will also react.  no ?

for example i plug a servomotor on D9 and the intensity of the led will change and the servomotor will turn

thanks

You can but the pin will not be able to source as much current because part of it is used by the LED. If you use logic on that pin it should be OK.
