I bought 2 moteino RFM69HW 433 with 4Mbit of memory addon.
I upload the send example sketch in one and receive sketch to other... Same NetworkID (100) one with NodeID 3 and the other with NodeID to 5.
Set the 433 freq. but cannot comunicate... In the serial monitor of the sender i get this:
Transmitting at 433 Mhz...
SPI Flash Init OK!
Sending struct (10 bytes) ... nothing...
Sending struct (10 bytes) ... nothing...

and the serial monitor of receiver i get this:

where is my mistake?
is my moteino broken?
i forget to uncomment radio.setHighPower()
:-X
-.-
Hi.
I just received my 2 Moteinos today, RFM69HW - 433Mhz, and tried to upload the receiver scetch on one of them and I got the same problem (only without the Flash, because I didn't order it)
On my receiving scetch I have:
#ifdef IS_RFM69HW
radio.setHighPower(); //uncomment only for RFM69HW!
#endif
So I guess it is already uncommented.
The moteino doesn't even blink the led.
Compilation goes well but at the end of the upload I get:
avrdude: verifying ...
avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x007c
0x00 != 0x80
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch
avrdude: Send: Q [51] [20]
avrdude: Recv: . [14]
avrdude: Recv: . [10]
avrdude done. Thank you.
I manage to upload the simple Blik scetch, changing the led pin to 9, and the little led blinks.
But the struct_receive... doesn't load.
However, the struct_send works well on both Moteinos I have.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Please look at the code carefully. In the config section there is this line:
#define IS_RFM69HW
Leave this uncommented if you have HW, otherwise comment this line out.
Hello Felix. You were absolutely right. I missed that one.
So I can now establish a communication between both modules.
However, when the receiver upload finishes, I get the following message on the Arduino IDE:
avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x007c
0x00 != 0x80
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch
But it still works. Should I change something?
I'm not sure, I haven't seen that before myself. Sounds like some bytes are not reading back and matching to what was written.
Does it do it on both/all units or just one?
Hello Felix,
The messege only shows up after uploading any sketch, either send, receive or even Blink into the USB Moteino.
I even tried with a different computer.
The messege it displays at the verbose area of the Arduino IDE when it finishes uploading any sketch is:
Binary sketch size: 9.500 bytes (of a 32.256 byte maximum)
avrdude: stk500_paged_write(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x64
avrdude: stk500_cmd(): programmer is out of sync
Should I just ignore it?
If it works fine I guess you can ignore ... but maybe you got the wrong drivers for the FT231XS. I suggest updating those drivers, see links on the product page.
As I mentioned previously, I tried the USB Moteino on other computers, with a fresh installation of the Arduino IDE from the Arduino site and FTDI drivers directly from the FTDI site.
Eventually I will order another one of these and will figure out if the problem is with the software or hardware.
Meanwhile I can live with the error message as everything else seems to work just fine.
Thank you for the support
Just to close my part on this topic, I finnaly figured out what was wrong. If anyone is interested, just check out this post:
