Title: Reuse soldered moteino
Post by: Zeldatwili on January 11, 2015, 12:06:42 PM
Quick question, I'm thinking about getting the garagemote kit and I have a spare moteino that i could use for it but there is some stuff soldered on gnd, Vin, and A2 (pictured below). I could cut the wires, but could I still solder the male headers in there?

The best thing to do is to cut the components away leaving a little length on the legs, then remove the remaining legs by heating and pulling with pliers, then use "desoldering braid" (see link) to remove the solder from the holes.

I use a suction pump with great success to refurbish used moteinos and then solder headers.
