Title: Moteino Resonator/Speed/Frequency?
Post by: curious on July 10, 2017, 12:10:08 PM
I've read that the Moteino uses a 16MHz ceramic resonator. I've also read that the "divide by 8" fuse is not set for the clock.
Hence I assume that Moteinos are running @16MHz?

But they use 3.3V, don't they?
How does 3.3V match 16MHz? According to the Atmega Datasheet for 16MHz the voltage would need to be higher...

Yes 16mhz.
The reasons and justification are discussed in the forum many times before.

Alright, did a search now and found https://lowpowerlab.com/forum/moteino/moteino-16mhz-3-3v-why/msg7612/#msg7612

That answers my question. I just wanted to know if the specs are up-to-date. Sorry for not searching before ;)
