Title: Moteino performance at 3.3V
Post by: cambazz on March 01, 2015, 04:09:30 PM
Hello All,

So I bypassed the voltage regulator, feeding the moteino mega with 3.3V and it works.

How about performace, is it still running at 16mhz. I read on other places that these atmels are problematic when at 3.3V and 16mhz. For example will it crash in cold temperatures.

Is there a way to make a moteino mega or moteino r4 work at 8mhz?

Best regards,
C.B.

Yes, you can set the fuses to use internal 8MHz clock.  I do this with my 3.0V powered motes.  See: https://lowpowerlab.com/forum/index.php/topic,695.msg4109.html#msg4109 for details.
