Hello,
I need a help, have a problem when upload CONFIG sketch (SwitchMoteConfig.ino)
When try to upload to my arduino mega 2560 i have success ( i change board from tools menu) but when connect moteino switch to arduino uno board. I receive this error:
Sketch uses 5,586 bytes (17%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.
Global variables use 1,304 bytes (63%) of dynamic memory, leaving 744 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.

Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.
I try to switch to another board but same problem. Pls help me to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance

but when connect moteino switch to arduino uno board. I receive this error:
What is your hardware exactly? And how are you connected to it from your PC?
SwitchMote 2x10A and using FTDI232 to connect with moteino. Arduino soft is v. 1.7.8. I find moteino folder and put in hardware folder in c:\programs.... and in c:\user.....
You can just use Arduino UNO as target if you're having trouble with installing libraries in IDE 1.7.8. I still prefer good old 1.0.6.
See this guide on installing additional libraries (https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Libraries) in the IDE.
The same problem

So your target is Arduino UNO, your serial port is correctly selected?
What type of "FTDI232" is connected to Moteino and how?
This one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272035321916?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
And i connect correctly, because green led light on moteino is on.
The FTDI232 adapter is working because i try with Arduino mini and is working
Could you try it with the Moteino not plugged into the SwitchMote? Just try loading a blink sketch.
I understand that your FTDI is working with the arduino mini, but do you have another FTDI adapter to try it with?
Also do you have another Moteino to try the upload?
no i dont have another moteino ad FTDI :( i will try without switchmote
The same problem, i purchase another FTDI adapter to try, maybe have some conflict with moteino
As with all moteinos that get shipped out, this was tested with a test sketch to ensure upload and transmit/receive will work, so it worked at one point.
I do not recommend cheap $1 or $2 FTDI adapters off ebay which are most likely fakes or rejected chips. If it works with a mini it does not necessarily mean it will work with a Moteino, it depends on the voltages on the tx/rx with respect to VDD. I make FTDI adapters with genuine chips that are guaranteed to work.
And of course applying voltages in reverse, shorts, poor soldering or other factors can damage a Moteino, like any other arduino.
If you want you can return it for me to take a look at it.
Yes , but for me is very expensive to buy from you FTDI adapter and for this reason i buy from ebay. 14.95$ this is near 30 leva for Bulgaria. My salary is 25 leva for one day :) Whatever. Next year i will purchase from you. Happy Holidays and thanks for the help
Sorry to hear that ...
Moteino is 3.3V and some FTDI adapters are 5V.
If you only have 1 FTDI adapter and 1 Moteino, and no way of doing any debugging with a multimeter or an oscilloscope, then I don't know what else to recommend other than a return to me for investigation, maybe you have some friends who can help locally?
I am pretty sure Moteinos will work with most generic FTDI adapters but I cannot give any guarantees. Also if you had another Moteino you could test with that and see if the same thing happens and draw some conclusions from that - if only one has this problem then maybe that one got damaged or bootloader was erased or something like that.
as Felix is saying, it is hard to debug with only one Moteino.
Do you have any other Arduino? UNO, Nano?
If you have any Arduino you can use it as a ISP programmer and check that the Moteino has a working bootloader. You can even use it to load sketch with it.
Please confirm if you have any Arduino and I will give you more details.
I have a arduino mega2560 and arduino uno
Guys same problem
