Title: Do we still need a custom version of RadioHead?
Post by: powernode on September 26, 2017, 12:25:34 PM
I tried the official version of RadioHead from http://www.airspayce.com/mikem/arduino/RadioHead/index.html and it seems to work fine.

You mean it compiles?
Yes indeed it does, I updated the LoRa page to link to it.
I did notice it won't compile on IDE 1.0.6, which is what I prefer.
Also it's about pin definitions, so the users may need to redefine the LED, the DIO0 seems to be fine at this point. I noticed the RadioHead main page mentions support for Moteino/MoteinoMEGA so I think we're good.

Two small adjustments in RH_E32.cpp and it will compile on 1.0.6 as well:

line 130 changed to: size_t result = _s->readBytes((char*)version, sizeof(version)); // default 1 sec timeout
line 207 changed to: char data;

Lattice C 5.0 was good too, but I don't think it compiles with that.
