Did I destroy my moteino?

I had my VIN & GND connected to 10V and moteino was working fine. Then I forgot that external power was connected and then connected the USB to my mac through the FTDI board.  My mac rebooted and the moteino was flaky (intermittent led flash) and now it does not seem to flash (led I mean) at all.

I am not able to get the serial port to show up on my mac anymore. I thought I busted my USB port on my macbook, but I am able to read USB drives just fine, so I do not think it is damaged.. Could it be the that FTDI board also got damaged? Should I try to get another one?

Hard to say, basically when you put 10V and 5V together, I'd be more concerned about your USB port or FTDI chip. The Moteino can take up to 16V, but the FTDI chip is a 5V device so it's possible you damaged the FTDI adapter. The USB port may have some protection and if other things work fine then it's still OK.
Be careful, electronics is not like software .. You can blow things up and even damage yourself :)
