Hi all,
I met a problem that I can't find a solution/answer after troubleshooting and googling for a while...
A got 10 Moteinos recently and I was uploading the Node example on to them to test out. One of the Moteino kept showing this error message:
avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000
0x0c != 0x62
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch
In the Serial Monitor I can see that it didn't successfully transmit from the message "1" to "123 ABCDEFGHI", but after that it's working fine.
While I was trying to modify the code (change the payload content) and upload it again, I noticed that the Moteino is not getting updated. The TX and RX lights were on during the upload process, but everything looks the same in the Serial Monitor.
Does that mean I burn the Moteino :'(? It was on a breadboard in a circuit while the first time I tried to upload it, but the circuit is working fine with other Moteino. Or maybe I break something while soldering the pins to it? (I checked and no pin is touching each other.)
Thanks for answering and helping! Any information is appreciated!
A little background of me & my project:
I'm not a pro regard to hardware stuff but have experience with Arduino and some basic sensors.
Recently I'm playing with Moteino to build an installation: I want to have 10 Moteinos, each connect with an LED strip and a photo interrupter, and when one of the interrupter is triggered, the LED strips will have different color and some sort of animated light pattern.
Ruby,
Is this a regular Moteino or MoteinoUSB?
You mentioned the RX/TX lights during the upload process, are you using a FTDI adapter with it?
Hi Felix,
It's a regular Moteino R4 & yes, I'm using a FTDI adapter.
Have you been able to upload to that Moteino at all?
Do you see the default loaded sketch output from it?
Hi Felix,
That's my first upload and after that I can't re-upload new code.
I didn't notice there was a default sketch in it.
Ok let's continue this over email. Topic closed.
