Title: Arduino IDE 1.6 Compile error
Post by: ColinR on February 14, 2015, 02:19:43 AM
Empty sketch or blink, whatver, with either MEGA or Moteino:

Error while compiling: missing 'recipe.cpp.o.pattern' configuration parameter

1.06 is still fine, of course.

Did you see this thread (https://lowpowerlab.com/forum/index.php/topic,897.0.html)?
I think the core install path is different.

I never had luck putting the core in my sketches directory, per the readme in the git repo, in Arduino 1.0.6 OR in any other version. I always had to put them in the arduino install directory, in the hardware directory. The devices show up in the devices list just fine. It just works in 1.0.6, but not in newer versions.

I'm fine with using 1.0.6, but it just doesn't work in the newer versions.
