Title: another option: soldered headers
Post by: bgreene on October 22, 2014, 03:39:39 PM
perhaps you might give consideration to another option when buying the mega and normal moteino. I'd happily pay to have the headers pre-soldered. I'm busy dismantling the solder bridges which I just created and it's not exactly fun. I'm tempted to bin this mega and try again with another one - tomorrow!

Bill,
I offered this option at the beginning but I realized I am spending a lot of time and effort doing it and it was not worth it for me, plus soldering dozens of these a day is really not fun. Besides users solder their headers in different ways, above/below/sideways and it's hard to guess what the user really wants.

pity. It would be lunacy for you to waste time on it but I would have thought it would be a source of beer-money for a student. Say $5 per unit, 6 moteinos/hr, $30 /hr, not to be sniffed at!
Anyway, you've come up with a fantastic product, I started with jeenodes but now I'm completely hooked on moteinos. I just need to invest in a bigger magnifying glass and a smaller soldering bit.
