Title: 433 or 868 Mhz?
Post by: Steinarrr on August 27, 2014, 07:08:40 AM
Hi
I recently bought some moteinos and i have two projects in the making so i cleverly tought "I'll have the systems on different frequencies so that they don't interfere with each other".
So now my moteinos are here but i can't make out what moteinos are on wich frequency. Is there any visible difference between the 868 and 433 or will i have to figure out by uploading sketches and test it out?

You will need to upload its sketches and then test it

Well, what frequencies did you order? They are hardware tuned for a specific frequency band so using them in a different band will work but will be less performant (less range).

Hehe I just noticed the very obvious answer, the 868 have a grey dot on them but the 433 have a white one :)

You got it! :)
Also the frequency is always specified on the invoice, and sometimes on the MoteinoUSB and MoteinoMEGA they are marked on the PCB bottom side, but not always.
