M0 does not appear as USB device [faulty USB cable]

Hello,

I just received two M0 boards with the flash option and no transceiver. When I connect to either windows or linux after installing arduino drivers I see no device appear (nothing in dmesg nor control panel). D13 on the board blinks rapidly. I tried several different usb cables. Any ideas on other things I might try?

turns out it was a batch of bad usb cables or cables that did not support usb 2 properly. all working now with a new cable!
