Is it possible to access the lipo on a breakout pin? I think VUSB is the wrong side of some
Components.
Want to run some things off VIN (ie a LIPO).
According to the schematic I think I want VIN which is down stream of the charger.
I think there might be mistake in the silkscreen (top right) as the top says VUSB (which matches the headers on the schematic), whilst the bottom (right) as VIN for the same pin.
-
Yes, VIN should really be VUSB. I will correct this in next batch.
-
Ah. Good.
Any ideas on VIN? Can that come out at another pin?
-
"VIN" is really VBAT or VUSB, it's not a constant voltage. It depends what's plugged in, VUSB has priority.
It's not connected on any header pin though.

Hi Felix
In a v2 our you add a pin for VIN so that we can power other things off the LIPO?
-
That means making the board and header 17 positions long. I did not have plans for that :-\
-
Okay, get that.
Could you add another header on the bottom row? I know that means running a line from one end to the other.
Or just a random header near the JST, more predictable to make it next to an existing one. A bit like how the teensy has extras?
-
That might work.
How about a SMD PAD if there is no room for a pin header?
There is actually an enlargement PAD and even a pin hole for the LiPo right under the current board.
-
The pin hole works for a temp thing and solder a cable to it.
A hole in a predictable place would be better.
I plan on mounting the MO on another board, and powering things off the lipo, so presently will need to add a soldered wire.
-
Ok, either way i made a note to myself to consider adding a pin hole to a more predictable location.
Thanks for the suggestion.

This is now DONE and released in R2 (https://lowpowerlab.com/2020/06/12/moteinom0-r2-released/)!

thank you!!!
Going to order some!
