Check out the attachment.....

It shows the Freeboard.io output of my outdoor weather unit.  Check out the external temperature, the heat index and the internal temperature in the box in which the Moteino is running.

I'm thinking of using the Moteino as a slow cooker for BBQ.....thanks Felix!!

Internal temp peaked at around 113.5 (F).

It is hot in there for a human for sure but keep in mind that the ATmega has an operating temperature range of -55 to 125 degrees Celsius (-67 to 257 F). The other non-passive component on a Moteino (the voltage regulator) has a similar operating temperature range (-40 to 125 C). Definitely very extreme temperatures so I think your outdoor weather unit can take a lot more "abuse". We should thank Felix for the Moteino design, of course, but above all the scientists and chip designers whose work made possible these little wonders ;-)

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers!
