Sketch programming errors off the samples

I've revisited this Moteino stuff after several years of down time.    Hitting some problems and could use some advice...

I'm on OSX

I've installed the Arduino IDE and downloaded the following libraries through either git clone or download zips:

I copied the samples for the Gateway and MotionMote along with a couple of others up one level to the base directory so they are more like main apps rather than libs...

I had this working yesterday but today (after doing the IDE update of a few libs) I am getting errors.

1) Gateway
First, I had to create a new directory with a new name for the ino with just one version (non-lcd version) in the folder.  I saw a posting about this but don't understand why having both versions of the gateway caused problems.  Let's table this for now because now the next error is giving more pressing problems.

2) Gateway - This error was solved.  Wrong SPIFlash version was somehow downloaded.

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

3) MotionMote
I copied the .h file from the referenced URL and put it into the directory but was still getting file not found errors.  I see it in a second tab in the IDE.

I just commented out the include and it compiles.  Seems wrong though.

#1
For #2, Does this look right for SPIFlash?  Maybe the tool is grabbing the wrong version?

Edit - that was it for #2.  Somehow I ended up with the wrong SPIFlash library in my library directory.  I could have sworn I got the one from Felix's github.  Could the aruido IDE Lib update process have replaced it??

Felix

I think you just need to review and understand where and how the libraries are installed.
Unfortunately for SPIFlash, some guy decided it's a brilliant idea to create a completely different library called SPIFlash, same name as my SPIFlash, I tried to open an issue in his repo but never bothered to respond. Maybe I will end up renaming mine, although that's going to cause lots of work and pain.
