Moteino Hardware testing [needed IS_RFM69HW flag...]

I have quite a few Moteinos.  I am having problems with 3 of my most recent purchases.  The two that worry me the most are antenna issues.
I need to be within just a few feet of the gateway.  While I am not great at soldering, I don't think I destroyed both of them.  And I did have a dude
that is great at soldering look at them, and he re soldered one he thought could be questionable.  Is there any way for me to test what my problem is?
Any suggestions for fixing my antennas?  The 3rd device died a slow death.  first I couldn't reprogram it wirelessly, then I couldn't reprogram it through
the serial FTDI usb connection, then it quit booting.  Any way to test a bricked moteino?

Greg,

You need to make sure your settings in the sketch match that of the radio type on each Moteino. Especially - If it's a HW you need to have the IS_RFM69HW line uncommented.

Regarding hardware/soldering... Hard to guess-debug a piece hardware, especially one that's "bricked". If you attach some closeup photos maybe that might reveal something.
Otherwise I'll be happy to take a look at them if you send them in, maybe it's something I can fix for you.

Thanks Felix.  I will try to do everything I can before I ship them to you, but since you'll check, I will ship them eventually...
don't get much time for IOT lately.  But have some cool projects I'm working on.  1 moteino connected to two power sensors
and two IR transmitters to control by TV and Surround sound.  Will add a PI into the mix later to swap to cameras detecting motion...

Those two were HW... Don't know how I ordered differently than other orders.
Will try to be more careful.  Will wait until I brick a second one before I send the one I killed
in.
