Any recommendations for a US-based PCB assembly manufacturing company?
For relatively small jobs. From prototypes to a few hundred pieces.
Easy to deal with and cost are important considerations.
I've used overseas companies for number of years that I was very pleased with them however I want to see how much more will cost if we could do it at home in the USA.
When I looked into it years ago couldn't find anyone in the USA with half decent prices willing to do relatively small jobs.
Thanks
It all started with a Moteino!

A lot more, so forget it if cost is sensitive. Asia is optimized for speed, USA can't touch those prices.

Perhaps there are some hybrid manufacturers? Some combination of China and USA. Good for marketing.

There's OSHPark but haven't used it in a long time. It's a prototype service not a serious prod house and they send it to a US factory AFAIK. The options are too limited, you pick any color as long as it's purple, timing is so so unless you pay a premium. You can't really make panels there, and everything is annoying mouse butes you then need to file off.

Hybrid? Not sure how that would work.

There was https://pcbs.io/ (a OSHPark competitor) that died out pretty quick.

There's https://www.oshstencils.com/ which is still around but ... really ... you order high quality stencils for $7-14 with the PCBs, from china, they got framed ones too for not much more. So the US maker makes no economical sense to use, unless you messed up your china stencil and you're desperate, willing to pay overnight to fix your problem quick.

That's about it. Too much regulation and money printing by bureaucrats makes such services unreasonably expensive in the west.
