RFM69 & Wiznet ethernet shield - can they coexist on the same bus?

As long as you use a different select pin for the RF69, is it possible to use both the RFM69HW and Wiznet ethernet shield on the same SPI bus?  Has anyone tried it?  What libraries did you use?

I'm thinking of using an Arduino as a gateway for a few wireless sensors on RFM69, relaying sensor data to the internet for xively data.  I'm not really sure how to go about it:

QuoteActivate RFM69 select pin
Wait for RFM69 data receive
Deactivate RFM69 select pin
Activate ethernet shield select pin
Transfer data
Deactivate ethernet shield select pin
loop

Is that how multiple devices on the same SPI bus is supposed to run?

They should be able to coexist yes, just use a different CS for the Wiznet.
But why would you bother... there's the Raspberry Pi which would make it quite easy and allow for a plethora of ways to massage your data before you push it to the cloud.
