Title: RFM69 Library and RaspberryPi?
Post by: knute on May 13, 2021, 09:46:52 PM
I want to use the RFM69 library with a RaspberryPi but don't really know where to start or if it has been done already.  Any clue as to what to do would be a great help.

Thanks!

This library was designed for microcontrollers, so it won't work on linux computers.
I recommend using a compatible microcontroller board (specifically - the library was made to work with Moteino boards), which can then handle the radio communication with end nodes, and serial communication with a host computer such as RaspberryPi. That is much better than trying to make the Pi handle the radio communication directly.

Thanks Felix.  I've been using Arduinos and the RFM69 library with excellent results.  Was just trying to figure out a way to get rid of one part.
