Title: PIR Sensor cutout for MotionMote .stl files?
Post by: Zeldatwili on October 25, 2014, 07:05:47 PM
Hi, so I ordered the MotionMote kit with the OLED screen, but I intended to use the OLED screen for other purposes, so I ordered the PIR sensor separately. I didn't think that the cutout for the PIR sensor might not come with the kit. Could I possibly use the .stl file for that cutout so I might get it 3D printed locally? At least, I assume thats how you manufacture those parts. Also, the only confusing thing I see so far in the instructions is the picture with the PIR sensor. On that last picture, on the regulator, it looks like only the middle and right parts are soldered. Is that correct, or are all three of them soldered together?

I laser cut them out of 1/16 acrylic so I don't have stl files, sorry.
BTW the MoteionOLED mote shop page mentions what you are getting with each option - if you get the OLED you get the clear cover, if you get the PIR you get the white cover with a round cutout for the PIR sensor. If you get both then you get both covers. If you place another order and get a PIR you can leave me a comment to ask for the other cover and I can include it for you.

Darn. Yes, that's my fault I didn't think of that. Do you think you could send me one in the mail then? I would pay shipping + tip beforehand via PayPal. And can you answer my previous question about the PIR sensor?

Ah sorry .. the regulator being removed .. you are basically bridging the regulator VIN with the VOUT. The untouched pad is GND.
You can email me at felix at lowpowerlab punto com and we will arrange the deal, please include the shipping details and everything I need to get this done tomorrow morning.
Thanks
