Mounting examples of a bare solar cell
« on: October 06, 2017, 10:35:03 AM »
To my surprise, I was not able to find any good examples on the Internets, showing how to mount a bare solar panel, without using string & duct tape (no offense, string & duct tape users). If you have been down this path before, would you mind sharing your experience? Photos are preferred.

As you can see from the attached photo, I did come up with a solution. The angle is not adjustable, however, and the cell is permanently epoxied to the conduit LB, which has been cut into a wedge. That's not a show stopper for this particular project, but I'm looking for ways to possibly do it better for any future projects.

There are quite a few examples on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/tag:solar_panel

kni,

Here is one way....similar to yours.  We hot glued the solar cell to the top of the box, along with 4 nuts/bolts.
