Licensing
« on: September 15, 2020, 11:08:51 AM »
I've been using Moteinos to develop a prototype of a product that I intend to make commercial eventually.  So I'm wondering what kind of licensing (if any) would be necessary for any of the components and radio frequencies.  Here's all the tech I'm relying on, I think:

- Moteino w/ Trace Antenna Chip
- LoRa Chip
- Arduino IDE
- Radiohead RF95 Library

I'm currently using just 915Mhz, but could be interested in setting up the device to have multiple frequency selections made by the user.

Any guidance would be appreciated!  Thank you!

As long as you use your own trademarks and logos there is no requirement or license.
If you choose to have it "Made in USA", I can offer my services to make a custom board, and do the prototyping if you also have production in mind depending on quantities. You would get a high quality product and the experience already built in Moteinos and many other products I built over the years.

That's terrific!  Thank you!

And I'll most likely be in touch directly as I move toward manufacturing.
