Hi,
I have been researching the latest iot cellular technologies in the USA. It seems, all the carriers require expensive certification before operating iot devices on the new iot networks.
With the new iot networks, the modules are relatively cheap. WNC has the IMS2 for $10 from AVNET. The NB-IOT modules for T-Mobile seems will be even cheaper. (NB-IOT I suspect will get very cheap, because china is started to deploy NB-IOT, I dont think cat-m is in china.)
I am wondering if anyone has a solution for the small guy.
Basically, it seems the cost is in the thousands or tens of thousands for certification, for the small mom and pop shop this seems like a deal breaker...
Thanks
