I would like to use an Arduino with a Bluetooth module as an interface between an amateur radio transceiver and a Bluetooth headset. The Bluetooth headset is a "slave" so the Arduino must have a "master" Bluetooth module. It would connect to the radio through the speaker and microphone jacks. I would like to connect two headsets at the same time. A similar device was made by KG4JJH but for only 1 headset. He used a KC-6112 Bluetooth module. Will the Adafruit Bluefruit LE nRF8001 Breakout work for this application or, perhaps the HC-05 Bluetooth module? Can this be done with a single Bluetooth board or would a pair be needed - one for each headset? I have been advised that Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy devices are not compatible with classic bluetooth (<2.1 EDR) devices such as headsets. If that is correct, are any headsets compatible with Bluetooth LE?

Thanks for joining the forum. You might have better luck asking about Bluetooth products on Adafruit or their manufacturer boards or whoever sells those.
