Hello,
I got the RFM69 Library running with the FireBeetle ESP32 V4.0 running with default settings of the pins :).
I use a platform.io based project. The default Pinmapping of the Library works out of the box.
https://wiki.dfrobot.com/FireBeetle_ESP32_IOT_Microcontroller(V3.0)__Supports_Wi-Fi_&_Bluetooth__SKU__DFR0478
So the mapping is:
MOSI: 23  == IO23
MISO: 19  == IO19
SCK: 18    == IO18
SS: 5        == IO5
RF69_IRQ_PIN   2 == IO2
What was helpful is to print the pins with:
Serial.print("MOSI: ");
Serial.println(MOSI);
Serial.print("MISO: ");
Serial.println(MISO);
Serial.print("SCK: ");
Serial.println(SCK);
Serial.print("SS: ");
Serial.println(SS);

In platform.io I use the following settings:
[env:firebeetle32]
platform = espressif32
board = firebeetle32
framework = arduino
monitor_speed = 115200
monitor_port = /dev/ttyUSB0
lib_deps =
  # RECOMMENDED
  # Accept new functionality in a backwards compatible manner and patches
  lowpowerlab/RFM69 @ ^1.5.2
  SPI

I use the Gateway Example:
https://github.com/LowPowerLab/RFM69/blob/master/Examples/Gateway/Gateway.ino
My plan is to have wireless Gateway which receives data from my moteinos and push via WLAN to a MQTT Broker.

Best Regards,
Ren
