Place Bluetooth module inside casing (at the back/component side of the CR)

@Felix

Hi,

After changing the firmware to not check for the bluetooth device and always set BT_found to true, I now can log data over bluetooth! Great.

Is there any objection in soldering the HC-06 on the bottom of the CR in the inside of the casing?

Can I than use both bluetooth ánd the oled screen or will such a setup degrade the accuracy of the CR?

Is there anybody who has experience of placing the bluetooth device inside the box?
Has anybody tried using the bluetooth device whilst the oled screen is also connected?

If so, can you share your experience?

Felix

Connect it however is convenient.
The CR tries to detect if the BT module is present and only then start streaming to it.
The same is true for the OLED.
When the CR writes both to the OLED (i2c) and BT header (serial) it will be a little slower, and perhaps some extra noise could couple into the raw output.
IMO you'd normally use either the OLED or the USB/serial logging but not both if you're looking for speed. The OLED only shows readings every ~200ms or so anyway.
So it's up to you how you pick and choose the combination of the CR's output capabilities, I wanted to underline the way it works.
