OLED measurements difference

Hello,

I'm a new user of the CurrentRanger, I did the assembly and installed a 2000mah battery per the manual, everything seems to be fine but I see about 1uA of difference between the output in mV and the OLED.

I calibrate some analog/digital meters that requires 30uA for full scale, I have calibrators and they are generators, but I wanted something simpler, smaller and more economic, so I got the CurrentRanger.

Using 3 different multimeters(I have more), they can measure uA by themselves and verified the measurements with the calibrators, when I get 30uA per everything, including the CurrentRanger and my multimeters, the OLED will show 29uA. Sometimes I get 29.9mV in my meter from the CurrentRanger but still 29.0uA in the OLED.

Is this something that I can fix? I wanted to use the CurrentRanger as a standalone device mostly, this was the reason to get the OLED.

I know I read something about this somewhere but I can't find it. Please help.

Best regards,

Edit: I found the thread, and is basically the same error I have, apparently there is no option yet to improve this. Also found another thread with some info with a custom firmware. This opens another question, how I save the calibration before flashing a custom firmware? I saw in another thread that the label included has the calibration, unfortunately I left it in the table and when I was soldering I used alcohol to clean flux and some drops arrived to the label and erased some info, I had no idea the label was important, any chance to get another one? Thanks.

Yes that's normal. The CR has a 12bit ADC so the readings on the OLED come from that, it's going to give a useful reading but not as accurate as the raw output, it's more of a bonus to allow you to carry this everywhere without an oscilloscope and get a very decent reading. For the highest accuracy use a DMM at the output for a discrete reading, or an oscilloscope for a waveform reading.
The calibration is in the firmware. If you have an older unit then it won't be displayed but depending which version this is, you can obtain it from the serial menu, type '?' to see that menu and info.

Thanks for the reply, I never did anything, just I use a multimeter to do measurings.
