Fault diagnosis

I have recently encountered a fault with my Current Ranger. It was working until I unplugged the micro JST connector. When I power it up, the LED appears for less than a second and goes off. I have tried powering it from the micro USB, but it reveals the same fault. What could be the problem?

The JST/battery should be plugged in at all times. I cannot really guess why this is happening but possibly because you have damaged or knocked off a component nearby the JST connector, that could explain it. If you can email me a hi resolution photo of the board component side I can take a look and see if it's anything obvious.
