Mounting the ATXRaspi?
« on: February 06, 2016, 05:44:53 PM »
I'd like to mount the ATXRaspi so that the micro-usb cable can be plugged into it through the side of a case.  The case I have is the right thickness so that, as long as the female connector is flush with the inside of the case wall, a male connector will be long enough to securely connect to it.

However, I can't find any mounting hardware that will get the board close enough to the case wall.  I've found a number of breakout boards with similar mounting holes, so I'm assuming this is some kind of standard, but I just can't figure out what combination of brackets and fasteners its intended to work with. (similar holes on this board, for example: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1833

I tried these: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10228
But they put about 2/16" between the board edge and the case wall, which is about 1/16" too much space.

Any help would be appreciated!

I am not sure how to help, not having the case or the parts you're trying to use in my hands to make measurements.
The best I can do is give you the dimensions of ATXRaspi and even better having the real thing in your hand you can use a $20 digital caliper to find the best standoffs and devices to install in your case.
