Title: latest Raspberry pi ?
Post by: phil4715484711456 on January 19, 2025, 05:20:35 PM
Hello,

I noticed this project is old, would the v3 still be able to work with modern RPI4 ?
I think it requires 5Amps, I was wondering if the board was suitable for this

thanks for your answers

The issue is not so much the amperage, but the connections used.
The board could handle the amperage but you want really nice and solid (soldered!) connections to avoid significant voltage drops across the several connection points involved. I would use the DC jack as input rather than the USB, and soldered wires going out.
The board is still being purchased by OEMs and other types of clients that use this in their applications where the ATXRaspi provides convenient push button shutdown and restart.
