Post by: dariot on November 16, 2014, 08:31:03 PM
I am utilizing all the gpio, on the raspberrypie, I have MCP23017 connected to the pie, how can I connect ATXRaspi to the MCP23017?

What are you trying to do?
ATXRaspi is meant to power your Pi. I would assume your GPIO expander gets the power from Pi.
Or if it's 5V then it can take 5V directly from ATXRaspi. Please see this diagram of all outputs available on it: http://lowpowerlab.com/atxraspi/#diagram

Hi Felix! thank you for the quick reply!,

I am trying to use GPB0 and GPB1, pin 1 and 2 from MCP23017, how can the script be changed?, now it is waiting from 7 and 8 ports from the pi.
Yes, the GPIO expander is in fact getting power from the pi.

I'm still somewhat confused. ATXRaspi is connected to the Pi to GPIO8 (pin 24) and GPIO7 (pin 26). These are recommended defaults.
I don't really have advice for the GPIO expander as I have not used one with my Pi. Maybe adafruit has some advice/tutorials for that?
