Hello All
I am building a media player based on the new version of Volumio, a RaspberryPi 3 and the ATX Raspi PCs. When I type the required text to gain access to the githubusercontent it acknowledges connection then displays the following lines of text:
Gnu TLS: A TLS fatal alert has been received.
Gnu TLS: received alert
- : Close notify
Unable to establish SSL connection.
It does this repeatedly
Does anyone have any ides why the connection cannot be maintained.
Incidentally I did not have the same problem when building a similar set-up with the first version of Volumio and a RaspberryPi 2
Any assistance would be gratefully received thank you
It works, either using wget or just pasting in a browser:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LowPowerLab/ATX-Raspi/master/shutdownchecksetup.sh
Thanks Felix, resolved thank you
I have encountered a further problem in that Volumio 2 crashes on reboot after 'shutdownchecksetup install
I will do some further research this evening but are you aware of any conflicts with RaspberryPi 3 or the new version of Volumio, v2?
The boot log runs too fast for me to read what is happening when it crashes but I have tried installing shutdownchecksetup 3 times now in case just a glitch, but still no luck.
Incidentally everything works perfectly on my old RPi 2 and volumio v1 after the initial glitches so I am sure there must be a resolution
Any assistance will be gratefully received
No known issues on RPi3.
Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with what distro is used by Volumio and whether it uses rc.local or not.
The script is simply copied on your disk and then bootstrapped into rc.local where it is kicked off during boot. So there are a few assumptions made but in general major distros have no issue. There's an alternative script for open Elec because of some differences in how that one is setup. See it all explained here (https://lowpowerlab.com/atxraspi/#installation).
Thanks Felix
I followed the shutdownchecksetup instructions on your website and I can see the script as seen in your video when I type ' sudo nano etc/shutdownchecksetup.sh. I am assuming therefore ,being a complete novice, that Volumio uses rc.local. As already mentioned ATX Raspi works perfectly with the first version of Volumio on RPi2 so there must be another glitch causing the problem.
Forgive me but what do you mean by the term 'distro'?
Yours in anticipation
I
I meant distribution. It's the flavor of linux that Volumio uses.
They have a forum so maybe that could be a place to ask about rc.local?
