Title: Button Types
Post by: derekkinsman on October 10, 2013, 10:54:01 AM
Can I use a rocker switch? The product page doesn't say whether I can or not and the two examples on that page are both using momentary push buttons.

Yeah, anything that will TEMPORARILY act as a push button.
You could even use two wires, that you could short together when you want to "PUSH" the button, because that's just what the button does - it shorts the two "BTN" pins.

So I would have to quickly turn the rocker into the on position then back to the off position to get it to boot up and the same but leave in the on position for four seconds to get it to turn off right?

Let me paraphrase...
If "turning the rocker in the on position" means shorting the contacts  or is equivalent to a "momentary button press", then the answer to your question is "yes".
