ATXRaspi in Automotive Application - Power Switch Latching Using Ignition Relay

I would like to use the ATXRaspi for an automotive application.  I plan to hook up the Power Switch "Latching" input to the ATXRaspi to a 12VDC ignition switch relay (ATXRaspi would get constant 5v/2A from main car battery through DC/DC).  I have a couple concerns and need to understand how the circuit works.  First, often called "relay bounce" and the concern that the ATXRaspi gets "confused" during only a momentary latch event (like cycling the latching switch quickly on and off then back on).  Second, one of my vehicles is a diesel and therefore the ignition switch will go off momentarily (normal vehicle operation) during the ignition glow plug heating cycle just prior to ignition.  Once the ignition is on this momentary voltage dropout event can occur anywhere from 3 - 15 seconds depending on how cold it is.  Does the ATXRaspi have any kind of built in delay and if so, would that be timer value be programmable (by me)?  I have looked at some standalone 12V delay timers to put up stream of the ATXRaspi (just before DC/DC), however I do not want to add or purchase if I do not need them.

Thanks in advance for constructive thoughts, criticism, ideas and feedback.  Cheers

Felix

Felix, Thanks for the response.  For this particular project, I have not yet had a chance to wire it all up.  I have purchased a new ATXRaspi to prototype with (just ordered as of the date of this post).  I was hoping to get an answer back that spoke to the design and of the circuit and if it had any built in delay on the latching circuit.  ATXRaspi should work fine in my application however watching the power cycling that happens to my car stereo (same circuit) it is going to require a delay circuit.  I might try a simple 12VDC delay circuits that are a few bucks from banggood, aliexpress, ebay etc. as long as they are decent quality.  I still would very much like to hear other experiences with the ATXRaspi used in any kind of similar automotive or 12VDC switching applications.

Thanks in advance

Felix

In automotive, you will also need to make sure the starter transients will not bleed into your low power electronics.
There are special protection devices and circuits to protect from that, I suggest searching google and spending some time to understand what the different conditions are and how to protect from them.
