What makes a RFM69HCW be on 433mhz or 868-915mhz bands ??

Hi,

The modules look identical to the untrained eye so what makes on module forced to 433mhz and others software configurable to 868-915mhz ??
Why aren't they all software configurable 433 to 915 ??

TIA, and pardon the newbie question.

Best,
Alex

Hardware: components that make up filters which filter out unwanted frequencies. Look at the proposed schematics in the datasheet, they have different values for different frequencies.
Its like the transmission on a motor, the motor is the same, transmissions can do all kinds of things for various purposes.
